KB Racking Introduces Multiple Fastener Options

Publish date:

To meet the specific needs of our customers, KB Racking now offers three fastener options for our lightweight AeroRack system. IMG_20131220_140758 - edited
Each option below has been tested to industry standards and is ready to order.

Durable and affordable, self-drilling screws install the fastest on the AeroRack system while providing integrated grounding.

Using a rivet tool, these fasteners are simple to install while offering the unique security feature of form-fit connections.

These reusable components provide a durable and clean installation with integrated grounding.

AeroRack is KB Racking’s most installed system, helping the company become one of North America’s top solar mounting system providers. The flat roof, non-penetrating mounting solution is designed for roofs with low weight load capacity, achieving as low as 2.2 psf including panels. AeroRack continues to be praised for its design flexibility and ease of installation.

We are excited to announce new, 2014 pricing for the AeroRack mounting system. For months our team has been modernizing
our manufacturing capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce the cost of production.

Harvest Power and KB Racking Complete New York Solar Projects with EkonoRack 2.0

Publish date:

KB Racking, a leading North American solar mounting company, and Harvest Power, a solar design, construction and consulting company, have recently completed their seventh rooftop project together: a 172kW solar installation in Bohemia, New York.

Plainview NY - 73 kW

We have installed the AeroRack system on past projects and were pleased with the results, specifically after finding no damage to those located in Hurricane Sandy’s path. For our most recent project, we saw an opportunity to use the new EkonoRack 2.0. The system was even faster to install and saved our company substantial time and money on installation while demonstrating the same quality we are used to from KB Racking’s products.”

Carlo Lanza, Vice President, Harvest Power

CEO of KB Racking, Peter Aulich, comments, “Working with Harvest Power over the past 3 years has been a great experience. They are a family owned business and it is obvious they put a lot of care into their projects. They are currently building another 300kW in New York with the EkonoRack system and we look forward to strengthening our partnership over the course of 2014.”

KB Racking and Endura Energy Build Ontario Solar Installation

Publish date:

KB Racking, a leading North American solar mounting company, and Endura Energy, a solar design, construction and consulting company, have recently completed their first rooftop project together: a 338kw solar installation in St. Catharines, Ontario.

KB Installations, an Ontario based solar installation company, installed the AeroRack system on the St. Catharines rooftop. Due to its limited load reserve, Endura Energy needed to source a mounting system that would add as little weight possible while still providing long lasting performance.

“We were interested in the AeroRack system because of its light weight design. Having a completely enclosed system was also a major concern of ours. We were very pleased with the AeroRack’s integrated wire management system. Installation was simple, it looks clean and we don’t have to worry about damage to the wires down the road.” Cameron Steinman, President, Endura Energy

In order to ensure the highest industry standards for DC cabling, KB Installations used a dedicated team of certified electricians for the project. Thomas Kreutzer, Head of Project Management at KB Installations comments, “It was a pleasure to work with the team at Endura Energy, their high level of professionalism allowed for a smooth and successful process from start to finish. Installation of this system was one of our fastest, we beat our DC cabling record by 20% while holding it to the highest quality standards in the industry.”

SKY Solar and Solsmart Achieve Rapid Installations with EkonoRack 2.0

Publish date:

KB Racking, a leading North American solar mounting company, and SKY Solar, a world leading renewable energy asset developer and IPP, have recently completed their fourth rooftop project together: a 130kW solar installation in Ajax, Ontario.

George Mishriki, SKY Solar’s Senior Structural Engineer comments, “This is the first time we have used EkonoRack 2.0 for one of our projects. We especially liked the low cost and simplicity of the system, but had to ensure that the system weight would not exceed the roof’s reserve load capacity of 4 psf. We were pleased that KB Racking’s EkonoRack was able to meet this requirement.”

SKy Solar - Fairall Project - Ajax2aSolsmart, a Toronto based solar installation company, installed the EkonoRack 2.0 system on the Ajax rooftop. Scott Gerylo, Solsmart’s Project Manager noted that EkonoRack 2.0 was very simple to install.

“The system is very straightforward and only consists of a few components. Our team was able to complete the mechanical installation in only four days.”
John Moody, Operations Manager, Solsmart

CEO of KB Racking, Peter Aulich, comments, “The EkonoRack 2.0 installation with SKY Solar and Solsmart was a great success. The new EkonoRack 2.0 system was introduced in the summer of 2013 and has been a very popular product with our existing customers. We are pleased with the impressive installation time and positive feedback we have received from SKY Solar and Solsmart, we look forward to building a larger portfolio with them in 2014.
